Recommended reading list for Nordic Food Alert
The ‘Nordic Food Alert’ crisis simulation workshop is an opportunity to convene a group of top-level subject-matter experts from the Nordic region to converge around the topic of strengthening systemic resilience to food supply shocks caused by climate change and related issues. Many participants will be extremely knowledgable on these topics already, and may have even been involved in researching and drafting of some of the papers referenced below. It is not expected that everyone will have the time or inclination necessarily to read all of these materials. However, we believe a general familiarity with these resources will be helpful for all of us, as a common baseline for reference and shared understanding. For this reason we hope you can briefly review these materials, to be cognizant of the wealth of research, policy papers and relevant reference materials already publicly available on the subject of Nordic food systems and climate resilience. This can help us, as a group, to determine where additional policy attention might be focused, or further research initiated, in order for our recommendations to have maximum utility and relevance.
