Nordic Working Group for Biodiversity (NBM) & Nature-based solutions in the Nordic Region
Nature-based solutions enhance biodiversity, reduce pollution, and address climate change while improving human well-being. However, improper implementation of nature-based solutions poses a risk for local communities. The inclusion of and respect for the rights of indigenous peoples, younger generations, and local communities in decision-making and monitoring is therefore vital. This event will discuss successful strategies for the implementation of nature-based solutions featuring a panel of representatives from the Sámi Council, youth delegates, and specialists.
