Women and girls in the Global South are disproportionately affected by the impact of climate change. Despite having a crucial role in their communities, women have less economic and political influence, and rely more on natural resources for their livelihood, especially in rural areas, making them more exposed to the impacts of climate change. In this event, we discuss the role of climate finance to advance gender equality.
