Every year, the UNEP Emissions Gap Report provides a global stocktake of where global greenhouse gas emissions are headed under countries’ mitigation pledges and where they need to be according to science. This year, the report also provides information on what we need from the Global Stocktake and delves into opportunities and challenges associated with energy transitions in low- and middle-income countries, as well as meeting the likely needed carbon dioxide removal levels in the future.
