This event will highlight the crucial role that young people play in the fight for environmental justice, considering their commitment and activism in the cause. With a special focus on youth activism, we aim to understand how youth can be a driving force in the fight for environmental justice. Recognizing that youth are a driving force for change, we will examine how their activism and commitment can significantly influence the implementation of international agreements, such as the Escazú Agreement, and the defense of environmental rights in Latin America.

An hour of activism for Nordic and global youth

How is youth activism done around the world? Join us as a selection of international youth groups share their strategies for activism and mobilization, offering unique perspectives on making youth voices heard. Following this, the floor will open for discussions on the most pressing climate issues and demands. In smaller groups, we will collaboratively create posters demonstrating the groups’ demands with engaging and action-oriented messages. The workshop will conclude with a group photo featuring all the posters and participants.
